Scissors are the most commonly used bonsai tool and are the most crucial tool in the bonsai artists toolbox.

For the price, these black carbon steel 19cm scissors made in China cannot be beaten. You will be able to use them to cut twigs and even thin branches. Anything thicker and you should consider purchasing the Bonsai Branch Cutter.

The differences between scissors designed and made specifically for bonsai and normal scissors are many.

Bonsai scissors have a completely different shaped handle which makes a lot of cutting comfortable.
The blades are shaped differently and made considerably thicker to enable thicker cuts than a normal scissors can manage.
The tips of the blades also slightly overlap to enable clean cuts, which in turn enables faster healing.

Bonsai general scissors

In the short time I have had these scissors, i seem to use them more and more everyday. They really come in useful in many different tasks of bonsai, and they're cheap too! A must for any beginner.

So much fun to use

These are very efficient, and so much fun to use. I have very weak wrists and I can say that cutting on trees and even other plants in our garden has never been this easy on my hands. After I did most of the cleaning up on some of our bonsais, my husband did a trip around the garden looking what else he could cut because its just so comfy and easy to use. Definitely a product that I will recommend for everyone but especially to people who struggle with carpal tunnel or arthritis.

Super useful!

Just getting into bonsai now and these scissors are incredibly useful. Can't imagine how I would do anything without them - just cleaned up some rough cuts I'd done with kitchen scissors and they look much better now. They're also mighty comfortable and can maneuver those tight spots like a dream!
