What is Air Layering?
Air layering is a tried-and-true method of plant propagation that produces a genetic duplicate (clone) of an existing plant. The Green DynaBall simplifies this process, making it more accessible than ever.
Choosing the Right DynaBall:
- Green DynaBall: UV protected for enhanced sustainability.
- Transparent DynaBall: Watch roots flourish with complete visibility.
- Hybrid DynaBall: A perfect blend of both – one side UV protected, the other transparent for easy monitoring.
Simple Steps to Use the Green DynaBall:
- Make parallel cuts about 4cm apart around the stem using a sharp knife.
- Gently peel off the bark.
- Dust the exposed area with Dynaroot powder or apply Dynaroot Gel 3.
- Fill both halves of the DynaBall with moistened, sterile growing medium (like Coco peat or Sphagnum moss).
- Securely close the DynaBall around the stem, ensuring a snug fit.
- Water as needed through the funnels.
Within just 14 days, you may start to see roots forming, although some species may take a bit longer. Once the roots are sufficiently developed, simply cut the branch below the DynaBall and carefully remove it without disturbing the root ball. You can then transplant your new cloned plant and nurture it to maturity.
