Trumpet Pitcher, Sarracenia 'Uniposka'
Sarracenia 'Uniposka' is a hybrid of Sarracenia leucophylla L18MK × Moorei All Red Diflora Giant. This special-import trumpet pitcher combines soft red and pink hues with broad white fenestrations, creating a distinctive contrast across its pitchers, lips and lids.
Distinctive features
- Pitchers (ascidia): Green and white colouring with soft red tones and pink-purple markings towards the upper portion, complemented by broad white fenestrations.
- Lip (peristome): Pink with white fenestrations.
- Lid (operculum): Pink to purplish colouring with white fenestrations.
Origin and seasonal growth
Sarracenia originate from North America. 'Uniposka' is a perennial hybrid suited to a temperate or continental climate, with a winter dormancy period as part of its annual growth cycle.
Its combination of pink-purple colouring and white, window-like markings makes it a distinctive addition to a carnivorous plant collection.
