Description

Purchased in Japan during the Autumn of 2021, this Japanese red pines most attractive feature is the trunkline and its textured bark. This is indicative of an old tree and is a highly desirable feature. The upright bunjingi or literati style in which the tree currently is grown is very typical of the manner in which this species grows wild in the higher parts of Japan. The basic structure of the tree has been developed, the branches can now simply do with some refinement.

The drum style container compliments the tree.
