I originally had no interest in Sarracenias, as I already have Venus Flytraps and didn't want another plant for which I have to make winter dormancy arrangements. However, eventually I thought I'd give it a go, because I'm currently struggling with my original dormancy-free pitcher plant choice (a Nepenthes), which is not giving me much joy. Very happy with my decision - this Sarracenia is stunningly beautiful. I'd even go as far as saying it is elegant enough to project a majestic presence. Even better, it is growing very nicely indeed, and I still have about seven months in which to enjoy it before I need to start worrying about dormancy. Depending on how that first dormancy goes, I may well be acquiring some more next Spring!

Sarracenia have always been intriguing to me. And as much as I've loved the various colours, I've never really been wow'd by them. Until this magnificent specimen was delivered today.

I am in absolute awe of its beauty. The intense dark red colour looks like it was blended with black velvet, giving that dark intense red a velvety glow and look.

This plant is now without doubt, the pride and joy of my collection, and its quite an extensive collection.

As always healthy plants arrived carefully wrapped at our door. They were immediately unpacked and are happily doing their best to decrease our insect populations.

Repotted this plant and it's growing nicely, growing big healthy pitchers now.

Received my plant within a few days and in fantastic condition. As spring is approaching, it is already coming out of dormancy. You will struggle to find an online nursery with better carnivorous plants.

Purchased a number of carnivorous plants from bonsai tree in the past 2 years. Have always been happy with the quality of plants, friendly service and means of packaging. Can definitely recommend bonsai tree for their carnivorous plants.

I bought a few plants not to long ago they shipped really well better than expected and the plants are looking great. Sadly one of the plants was not what I ordered I was supposed to get a Sarracenia Cikizwa but it seems I got something completely different not sure what Sarracenia it is but guessing it is a Sarracenia Nandipha.Overall everything else was really great and it was not worth complaining and going through the entire refund proses because having something is always better than having nothing.
