Nepenthes gymnamphora "Talakmau" (BE-4059) is a striking, highly variable species native to the highland regions of Sumatra and Java. This specific release from Borneo Exotics features a random assortment of clones derived from the Gunung Talakmau population, known for its "speckled" and deep purple color forms.

    Product Features

    • Pitcher Morphology: Produces "tubby," nearly spherical lower pitchers with a broad mouth.
    • Vibrant Coloration: Pitchers are typically cream-colored with heavy red or purple mottling. Some clones may exhibit almost solid dark purple traps as they mature.
    • Growth Habit: A vigorous scrambling vine that frequently produces "basal" rosettes—bunches of pitchers at the base of the plant—making for a very full, lush appearance.
    • Collector's Choice: BE-4059 is a seed-grown cross between a standard Talakmau form and a selected "purple clone" (BE-3078/BE-3908), ensuring a wide genetic diversity among individual plants.
