I think every Bonsai Enthusiast should grow a tree from seed at least once! I purchased 2 kits to ensure that I have enough seeds. I soaked the seeds for 24hrs then placed them in a Propagation dome (heat mat below it). After 10 days I could see the first seed sprouting and currently (after 20 days) I have 8 seeds (from 2 kits) that sprouted. The seeds are sourced in Japan and are “pure”. I can highly recommend the Kit!

Excellent service, as always, from Bonsai Tree. The pines were well-packaged, and they look like solid plants. I repotted them last weekend, so I hope they will acclimate well.

I ordered a Black Pine Bonsai Growing kit (we haven't planted them as yet, as this is a present for hubby this coming weekend).

But, the service was great. Received my order in record time and everything was beautifully packaged, even with a hand written note to the order, little gestures like those always makes it feel so personal, which is great.

The ordering and delivery process was flawless! It was a gift for my mother in her retirement village who loves her plants. Only one if the seeds took root and blossomed. I thought at least two seeds would germinate

The item was shipped very fast and was in great shape on arrival. The manual and instructional youtube video was very easy to understand and 2 weeks later I had 5 happy trees.

I soaked the seeds for 24 hours, then placed them in a bag of sphagnum moss in the fridge. 4 days later I put them in the soil and into a plastic dome. In a few days all seeds germinated. Waiting now for the stems to turn colour so I can cut them.

There was more soil in the pack than required and the pot is of good quality. Great product!

I'm happy with my purchase, my Japanese Black Pine is growing well, I'm just having trouble getting my wit stink hout and wild olive to germinate.

As a beginner (like me) you always wonder if you're doing the right thing. I'll outline my steps as it may be of help to some of you.

I soaked the seeds for 24 hours (all the seeds sank to the bottom of the container). I didn't place them in the refrigerator. I sowed them immediately after soaking and left them in a warm room that gets a lot of bright morning light (not direct sunlight), near an opened window. I used a light spray bottle to water them twice a day, not excessively, just to get the soil moist. After 1 week i could see the first seed starting to sprout through the soil. And the picture you see here is 2 weeks after sowing (early Spring). All 5 seeds germinated! The quality of the seeds is clearly exceptional and the overall experience was amazing.

I highly recommend this product and I hope you all have success in growing your own pines!
