My Spekboom bonsai arrived safely in Johannesburg via the courier service. it was in good condition and is doing well. I did not know that it is possible to turn a succulent into a bonsai and I am very pleased with my purchase.

A few years ago I started this addiction....I had secured a few calls with Terry at the start of my journey in Bonsai. Fast forward a few years I left SA for a brighter future abroad for my children and had to give away most of my almost 250 odd collection of Bonsai trees. Sad sad sad.....3 years later I am back in SA and living in Somerset West. To my surprise I discover Terry is based in same town. My Spekboom is my first Bonsai back into this world of addiction and what an amazing specimen!!

Aren't I lucky to have Terry as my brother so I loved my birthday gift of one of these amazing trees. It is particularly good for me because Terry has thought it through making it difficult for over watering because of the excellent drainage. The care card was very helpful, and it is easy to prune. Very happy, best birthday gift ever!

I made 4 individual purchases, I am very impressed with the product quality and service, I have never had any issues with seeds / growing kits etc. As a matter of fact most of the seeds have turned into strong seedlings. I bought a visually appealing and healthy bonsai tree which looks better and better each day with more natural sunlight,water and monthly fertilizer. Looks great on my outside patio table and a healthy addition alongside my other bonsai trees.

This is my first Spekboom bonsai and I absolutely love it! I received the tree in what can only be described as a "suit of armour". Double thick industrial grade cardboard on the outside.. and inside! Yes, two boxes! Bubble wrapped and taped - the tree was secured to the box with wire. Sphagnum moss was added on the soil surface (tightly wrapped in cling wrap) to lock in the moisture and prevent the soil from moving around during shipping. What an incredible way to receive a tree!

I was looking for a perfect gift for a 50th birthday. I think the Spekboom bonsai tree was a perfect choice. It symbolises all the right things.
