Professional Growing Medium

This is the main soil-mix for most of my bonsai. Love that its also super light, making the pots easy to work with.

It is great to have the guesswork taken out of what bonsai potting medium to use. My trees seem to do well in this mixture that drains well but still retains moisture.

Couldn't be happier with this Bonsai medium, excellent drainage and quality. Easy to add some extra peat to the mix for more moisture retention if needed and that's it!

Great medium that I use for my trees in “development”. Free draining and the peat moss retains some moisture and nutrients! Economical to use.

I have used some of the medium for my two newly purchased Camellia Sasanquas and they seem very happy in it. Cannot wait for spring to start and then get repotting and maybe add some new bonsais to my collection making use of the medium. I came to know the same and after chatting to Terry in person got to know about his Professional Growing Medium and offcourse purchased some towards the end last season and again resently to pot the early growers such as the Elms, malbury and Celtis species. The results and noticable difference in the trees I have used it on is huge. Better draining and nutrient absorption being the key attributes and difference. I would recommend it to anyone looking for better and healthy trees.

I first introduced to this product by my brother who gifted me with a bag of the growing medium. I was so impressed with it that I just had to order more. The drainage is really good but also doesn't dry out too fast. It keeps a proper agreeable amount of moisture but not to a soggy extent. I can honestly say that it's a really good growing medium as my Bonsai's are thriving. Thank you for the excellent service as well as providing excellent products.

Was really impressed with the smaller, 2L bag of this soil in the "senior apprentice bundle", so much so that I just had to buy more! I was previously using a "bonsai" soil from another nursery and after switching over to this I can immediatley see why this soil is superior. The drainage is fantastic, and after repotting one or two of my trees in it I can already see that they're looking happier. The customer sevice was also fantastic, with speedy responses (despite being weekend) and I was able to pickup the day after I placed my order! Once again very pleased with my purchase.

I repotted a few medium Bonsai size trees in this growing medium a year or 2 ago, and decided this year to repot some of them in larger containers, and could already see the difference in new root development!

Last year was my first bulk purchase of this product. I refrained from writing a review until I see some proper results, and I have. Within the first month from repotting I saw immediate changes in the health, strength and vigor of my trees. Highly recommended product, even if you're just starting out.

This year was my year for repotting all 25 of my trees. I did so with the professional growing medium and the trees have all taken and started new leaves a week after being repotted. I am super impressed with this product!

great, i am new to the product but have replaced the old soil with this mix and the trees have responded well.Provides excellent drainage.

I use it for my mature Spekboom bonsai. It drains well, breaths well and the consistency makes it easy to use. It is a light medium and do require active fertilising. I add some Pumice to make it the perfect medium for me.

Great bonsai growing soil. Never had a problem with it. All trees of mine have grown spectacularly in this soil. Retains just enough moisture, to not cause root rot and has plenty of drainage. I usually add a fine stone grit to it, for wieght, as here in PE, i can have my trees blowing away. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

Well I haven't used it such for seedlings yet. I'm waiting for Spring to plant my Chinese Maples. However I have used it to get some slips growing. Wow how fast they have rooted. I think the structure of the medium is perfect for even this purpose of slipping

Great overall medium to bring out the best of your bonsai. Correct ratios to ensure optimal root growth and comes with great samples of products. Also price is really affordable. Cannot ask for better service from Terry and his team. Big thumbs up for you guys.

Being my first time doing this I was unsure what to choose, I used garden soil with the Professional Growing Medium and it still works very well.

My next purchase will definitely include Bonsai General Soil Mix.

Excellent product. Love it. Good drainage and good water retension. Keeps plants moist, but not too much.
