Features

  • A definite must for natural looking jins and shari's.
  • Natural wood handle for greatest comfort.
  • Protective plastic sleeve packaging.

Description

This is a high quality tool in the most popular and useful shape of available scraping tools, produced in Japan for Kikuwa.  This tool will enable you to rapidly remove wood and bark.

Uses

  • For the rapid removal of bark and wood by scraping or peeling.
  • Unlike Western style carving chisels these scrapers are used in a pull fashion which means you will place less stress on the roots of the tree {as no hammering is required}.
  • The carving action is more controlled and safer than Western style chisels.

Size

235mm, however it has a thicker handle and wider cutting edge than the smaller model, 2281.

These are not carving tools. If you want to remove large amounts of material please see our carving chisels or our Dremel accessories.

    Best tool I have used!

I would like to tell that the jin tool that you send me is unbelievable I had a good work out with it the other day and it is by far the best tool I have worked with. Makes work a lot easier and less time consuming than some of the other tools that I have made use of before. It feels really comfortable in the hand and makes light work even in very tricky areas.
