A wonderful aggregate for my own soil mixes with akadama, compost, river sand, vermiculite, pearlite and so forth. Great for starting cuttings too!

I personally will recommend this to all people. That wants to grow there Haworthais in good soil, but take note that I do mix it with Akadama 50/50 with some fine leca.

I am using the finer pumice in combination with fine acadama and leca. There is an improvement in finer root growth, drainage remains excellent without compromising moisture and nutrient retention. Enquiries I made via WhatsApp chat regarding other products were answered promptly; thank you.

The use of Fine Pumice together with Fine Akadama has improved the root growth and health of my Haworthia significantly. The plants using this substrate look generally stronger than those using more conventional mixes. I have also had success with rooting and establishing other plants in pumice, and found it an excellent substrate for my more demanding Hoya species. I would recommend this product for anyone who wants to improve the health of their plants, and who wants to achieve rapid root growth for their cuttings.

Wonderful! I have struggled to find pumice in small quantities and this is superior to other stuff out there. Only time will tell how my plants like it, but so far, so good!

I've found that this really works incredibly well in various proportions with akadama as a mix for succulents and even bulbs that naturally grow in heavy soils but in cultivation benefit from a free draining/aerated mix, that is still moisture retentive and with decent cation exchange capacity and some mineral nutrient value - being semi- porous it holds some water and allows fine root development, while still providing perfect drainage. For rot prone succulents and bulbs, I tend to use it just in a 5-8cm top layer, with a conventional mix below. Although the cost is high it really pays for itself for valuable specimens, and can be re-used over and over (I sterilise in a pressure cooker for critical applications). There are many good reasons pumice based mixes are preferred by really serious plant collectors in Japan and elsewhere, and until now I haven't been able to find it locally. This is a great quality product, nicely graded.

I am just a novice, but I have used this Akadama, Leca and Pumice with some coconut peat as my newest gravelmix for the planting of my precious Haworthia's and other succulents, and so far they seems happy. I will now more in a few months time on how they grow in this medium. And they look stunning in the beautiful small ceramic colourful pots. I have not used the bonsai pots yet but they are stunning and good quality.

Very happy with the performance of this substrate. Fit for purpose

I have repotted 9 of my 36 Bonsai into the new medium mixed with compost. The colour of the foliage is amazing and despite the winter, the regrowth of roots and foliage is amazing

The smaller particle pumice is exactly what I've been looking for to use in my mix for finer rooted succulents. The drainage and water-wicking capacity of the hyuga means I can leave even very sensitive succulents (like lophophora williamsi, for example) out in the days-long torrential Joburg rain without stressing even a small bit, and the health of all my plants is marked when they're in the hyuga. Can't wait until Spring to put some of my smaller bonsai into it!

I grow mostly succulents, and have struggled to get lithops to thrive. I have been using pumice for a short time and can already see an improvement in the health of my plants.
