I bought 2 big orchid pots and 1 2L bark. Mistake on my side the pots where too big for my average sized orchid. If your repotting check the measurements and I recommend medium and smaller. The bark chips were premium quality but in the future id would buy their repotting collection because it includes spagnum moss which I forgot. Anyway I repotted my orchid and its doing great. The bark is treated so theres no problems. I cant wait to buy again.

I just repotted my first owned Orchid using this bark on Monday. Hoping to see some new growth soon!

I replanted all my orchids in this bark combined with a small amount of sphagnum moss and small pumice. All my orchids are flourishing. Two are about the flower. I 10 years I couldn't get orchids to flourish let alone flower. I packed small amounts of sphagnum moss around the roots of epiphytes in the garden as well and these are flourishing also. My orchids are also making new healthy roots. A few had yellowing dying roots and I didn't have much hope that they would make it. This potting medium gave them a new lease on life. I packed a small amount of moss around the bottom of orchid keikis and filled the rest of the pot with bark and pumice and more bits of moss. The keikis are now making new roots. I'm very impressed with these products. There is are no fine particles in these potting media that suffocate the roots. Therefore, my pants are never water logged and look healthy.

I am extremely happy! I asked Terry for advice on epiphytic bulb seedlings that I grew from seeds and he suggested I take the treated orchid bark and I combined it with the small 5-8mm pumice and the results were amazing. Those are both great products. I even tried this mixture with some of my smaller dendrobium orchids and they are flourishing.

These small chips are great for indoor Phalaenopsis in small pots. Not ideal for larger outdoor pots.
