Overview

Drosera Trinervia is an endemic indigenous plant that occurs on the Table mountain massive growing between fynbos during winter and spring. It is unique in having three small trigger hairs under the trap surface which is an adaptation Unique to this Sundew. the trigger hairs would stimulate the plant when insects are walking underneath the plant, most likely to signal a release of Pheromones'.

They are best grown outdoors but plants can be brought indoors for short periods if you wish to display them. It is a winter growing sundew.

The plants do go dormant in summer and at this time it is best to remove them from water trays, but do not allow the soil to dry out completely.
