Features

  1. Easy to use tub with screw off lid.
  2. Will protect exposed tissue for up to 1 year.
  3. Added hormone for slow to heal species such as conifers.
  4. Will seal many hundreds of cuts, providing protection from water ingress.
  5. High quality sealer made in Japan.

Description

Live plant tissue is exposed and vulnerable to infection when cut. A good sealer must be applied to the wound to prevent such infection as well as cracking due to drying out. Preventing the cut from drying out will ensure that the live cambium/tissue of the tree will be able to heal the scar quickly and as smoothly as possible so ensure the paste overlaps the cut by 1mm or more.

In this range of pastes there are 3 options:

  1. All purpose or deciduous type, with no hormone as it is not necessary. (White lid)
  2. Cut paste for evergreens (junipers, pines etc), with hormone to promote faster healing. (Green lid)

Uses

  1. Sealing of large cuts (3cm or more) when removing branches or shortening them.
  2. Good for grafting and general sealing of cuts

Usage Tips

  • Moisten fingers before applying.
  • Should the unused contents harden, soak the tub in 60 deg to 80 deg Celsius water for 15 minutes.
  • Wash hands with household detergent after applying.

    Products purchased from Bonsai Tree

All products that I have purchased from Bonsai Tree have worked perfectly and that is why I prefer ordering from you than going to the local nurseries.

    Great product

A critical product for me when making medium to large cuts especially in when living in warmer parts of the country.
