Kaneshin Bonsai Tweezers for pines

Tweezers intended for use to remove pine needles have deeper notches than ordinary tweezers. This is to ensure that they grip the needles better.

Needles are plucked on pines to balance energy in the tree. Each needle is grasped and pulled in the direction of its growth so that the base of the needle is not damaged. If you come across needles which are difficult to remove they may be cut with trimming scissors.

These high quality tweezers are handmade in Japan from drop forged steel. This is a material which is harder than iron as it is subjected to a beating process. As with all our Kaneshin tools, these tweezers are handmade by highly skilled Japanese craftsmen. Each tool is boxed and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.

If the teeth of these tweezers become clogged with pine resin, burn the tip with the flame from a lighter and then remove the burnt resin with a metal brush.
