These deep, unglazed bonsai containers imported from Japan are ideal for species of bonsai which require a larger space for their roots.
Their plain, vertical sides without decoration would suit trees like Baobab, the Coral Tree and many others such as collected Wild Olives. You could also plant any conifer into these dark clay containers and it will compliment the bark and contrast against the green needles.
Select your preferred container size from the list above. Containers are not sold as a set.
Ample drainage is provided by 2 bottom holes in each container.
Dimensions are always external and sometimes differ slightly from stated.
While I'm waiting for the new growing season to arrive, I've spent hours admiring this pot. It is by far the best quality pot currently in my collection. The pot walls are elegantly thin and makes a beautiful ringing noise when tapped. I cannot wait to use this deep pot in the coning years.
Also, for Japanese authenticity, it came wrapped in Japanese newspapers. I found that to be very neat.
