"Rokko", a hybrid Nepenthes thorelii x maxima, is believed to have originated in Japan in the late 1970's. It is a hardy and robust hybrid capable of thriving in many types of environments. When exposed to intense sunlight, it can produce captivatingly colorful pitchers, and can reach sizeable dimensions.
Nepenthes "Gentle" is a hybrid of Nepenthes fusca and N. maxima, featuring long, velvety pitchers covered in dark speckles and colorful, flared peristomes.
These seed grown plants are the product of Walter van Dyk's breeding program and combine both parent characteristics. Being seed grown, no two plants are identical making them sought after by collectors and enthusiasts alike.
Nepenthes rokko x gentle
Nepenthes are not quite as intimidating to grow as one might think; their needs are usually in line with those of orchid.
