Description
Live plant tissue is exposed and vulnerable to infection when cut. A good sealer must be applied to the wound to prevent such infection as well as cracking due to drying out. Preventing the cut from drying out will ensure that the live cambium/tissue of the tree will be able to heal the scar quickly and as smoothly as possible.

Perfect for species that heal wounds easily
I alternate between Top Jin, Callous Mate and Japanese putty type cut paste depending on the situation. For small or larger wounds on species that heal wounds easily Top Jin is my go-to wound sealer. The consistency (quite a thin, runny liquid) really helps with getting into the tightest spots and covers wounds very well. When making initial cuts or large chops I use Top Jin to seal the ends of any stubs I may leave, saving the Japanese putty sealer for the later final cuts once the stub has died back and is ready to be cut flush to the trunk/branch. I recently bought a new tube of Top Jin after my first tube started running after almost 3 seasons of use! A little goes a long way!

Top Jin M Paste
This paste is very easy to apply in a thin layer with a brush. It seals the entire surface without leaving any gaps. Well worth having and great service from Bonsai Tree. Thank you.
